UN Environment - Consultancy on Chemicals and Waste Statistics

This contract is expected to last approximately 1 year part time. We estimate that the work would include roughly 150 working days. This consultancy is home based, but will include 3 country case studies. The focus of the contract is on chemical and waste statistics in the context of the SDGs. Specifically, the focus is on SDG indicator: 12.4.2 Hazardous waste generated per capita and proportion of hazardous waste treated, by type of treatment and 12.5.1 National recycling rate, tons of material recycled - with an emphasis on 12.4.2. (The methodology for SDG 12.4.1 on chemical MEA reporting has already been agreed, but the methodology should be presented in the publication.)

UN Environment - Consultancy on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Statistics

This contract is expected to last approximately 4 months with around 40 working days. The consultancy is home based, but will include 2 country case studies. The focus of the contract is on SDG indicator 12.6.1 Number of companies publishing sustainability reports. The consultant will be responsible for helping define a 'sustainability report' and the key elements of such a report for different sizes of companies. Additionally, the consultant should propose how reporting can be monitored globally and nationally.

UN Environment - Consultancy on Fossil Fuel Subsidy Statistics

This contract is expected to approximately 4 months with around 40-50 working days. The consultancy is home based, but will include 2 country case studies. The focus of the contract is on SDG indicator 12.c.1 Amount of fossil-fuel subsidies per unit of GDP (production and consumption) and as a proportion of total national expenditure on fossil fuels. The consultant should propose core indicators and methodologies which should be used globally, as well as the additional indicators which could be monitored nationally for use in national policy making.
